WEEK 17 is NEAR….
by Thomas Anderson
Everything for this season is boiling down to the final week 17. for the Carolina Panthers vs. Atlanta Falcons. It’s winner takes all for the NFC south title. The Week 17 showdown for the NFC South title between the Atlanta Falcons and Carolina Panthers has been flexed from 1 p.m. ET on Fox to 4:25 p.m. on CBS this Sunday, the NFL announced late Monday night.
The 6-9 Falcons may be the first team in NFL history to go undefeated in the division with a losing record. They defeated the Panthers, 19-17, in November in Charlotte and currently sit at 5-0 in division play; however, the Panthers are in first place with a 6-8-1 record.
As with the NFC north title it will be Matt Stafford and company headed to Lambeau field to take on Aaron Rogers on home turf. For a few of other teams such as Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, San Diego and Houston there is still hope with the help of a few losses.
Sitting at the top of the AFC New England Patriots (My Team) can clinch home field advantage with one more victory. Am I biased, yup!
The Patriots clinched home-field advantage throughout the playoffs Monday night when the Bengals beat the Denver Broncos 37-28 at Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati. Now they hold the No. 1 seed in the postseason regardless of what happens next Sunday when they take on the Buffalo Bills in Foxboro.
No matter how these scenarios play out, and no matter who is in or out will anyone be able to dethrone the champs. We will just have to sit back and see!
I will be rooting for my team in hopes of a win and a nae nae dance opportunity!
