( ENSPIRE COMMUNITY ) Chris Paul, Kevin Hart Dish Out Holiday Gifts to LA Children
Los Angeles Clippers star Chris Paul and comedian Kevin Hart dished out gifts to hundreds of children in LA just days before Christmas as part of their second annual “Holiday Takeover.”
The celebrities wore Santa Claus hats and took pictures with the children, who were each awarded a $100 Target shopping spree and asked to buy at least one gift for someone else.
“Just surprised 300 kids with holiday gifts – on to the next location for 300 more! #ChrisAndKevinHolidayTakeover,” Paul tweeted.
Chris Paul has been known to give back to his community often. This Christmas was no different. The Clippers star announced to the 300 kids and families to keep the peace while shopping he joked. He also had one request of those about to hit up the store. He told them they would get $100 and all they ask is to buy at least one gift for somebody else.
We thought that was such a great thing to do for the kids. They can appreciate the gifts that they were given as well as sharing it with someone else.
Kevin earned $28.5 million this year according to Forbes thanks to lucrative movies and a stand-up tour. He explained that he puts on events like this to give back to the community and put smiles on people’s faces. Again, such great lesson and example. You can usually find Kevin with his kids participating in these community events to show them the benefits of giving back.
There are so many positive points to be taken from this event. The kids who may have not been able to are getting gifts for Christmas. The children can be given hope that they are people out there willing to give so that they can have a smile on their face. This is such an important message. We are always looking for when celebrities give back to their community!
