Saturday, October 7, 2017, in Harlem, NY, Niatia “Lil Mama” Kirkland celebrated her birthday with The “Glow Up” Private Dinner & Press Mixer at MIST Harlem. Styled by Michael & Tyler Mann, of AKI X MANN, adorned in a beautiful Michael Costello gown, she enjoyed dinner, drinks, and music by DJ Trase.

Since the start of Lil Mama’s career, we’ve seen her highs and lows from the multi-talented artist. She has shown how a career in the entertainment industry can evolve even after being critiqued negatively by those in the same industry. From walking on the stage during Jay-Z’s 2009 VMA performance, people comparing her to Bow Wow, and her interview with Charlamagne on POWER 105; Lil Mama has overcome tough barriers which led her to the astonishing artist she is today. Lil Mama branched out and appeared in several movies and television such as “CrazySexyCool: the TLC Movie”, “America’s Best Dance Crew” and recently starred in TV One’s “When Love Kills: The Falicia Blakely Story.”

The lavish affair was designed by Primrose Couture Events, LLC and every detail brought to life the elevation Niatia has experienced. The intimate dinner affair hosted by Kelsey Saul was attended by powerful women in the surrounding area who have made a positive impact in her life and career.

Niatia admonished her guests, “Know that the you that you’ve always been and the you that you’re growing into is enough. Allow yourself to shine in exactly who you are unapologetically.”  Her upcoming projects aim to ensure women all across the globe do just that with an international women’s tour, and surprise projects in the works.
