Goals Of An Intern – Becoming An Entertainment Journalist

My goal in life is to become an entertainment journalist or start my own company. The process is first to finish college and get my bachelor’s degree in mass communications. Next is to connect with people who will be a vital part of my company. After I complete those steps I will be on my way to being on top with A-list people who are like minded I will also need to build my team up with more people who are aspiring success. All this will take time, effort, and dedication, but I know that if I keep my head on straight and God by my side, everything will happen in due time.

Many people think becoming an entertainment journalist is easy. I mean I’ll have my perks of meeting some of my favorite celebrities but am I willing to work long hours. Get a call at two or three in the morning to cover a breaking story. It takes the right mix of hard work, dedication, education and most importantly, time. Time is going to be my best friend in this industry. Having professional connections will be a major key also it’s not about what you know it’s about who you know.

I’ve known I wanted to be in the entertainment industry since from the young age of 11. My mom and I were riding down the highway and we were listening to the radio. Me thinking I knew everything led me to answer a series of questions before the radio personality could finish. Of course, it isn’t fair that he was talking about my slay queen Nicki Minaj.

Yet, even outside of that, I had already said everything that was going on in the music industry at the time. My mom looked at me and said, “You need to go into being a news reporter or something because you knew everything before he even got finished saying what he had to say.” From that day forward I’ve been pushing my pen with celebrity news.

There is not a doubt in my mind that I will not reach my goals. I have come this far I cannot give up now. I have been writing since 2015, and I can honestly say I will be on air in about 3 more years.

I am a young vibrant student who believes in myself. God has big plans for me, and I cannot wait for him to reveal them to me. If I stick to my plan, I will be successful on and off screen.

Once I’ve accomplished everything at hand I’ll be on my way to success. It may be a long and stressful road but I know I will always have people behind me rooting me on. I love what I do, it’s something that drives me. It makes me want to go harder in everything I do because I know that one-day people will be looking up to me and I will have to make sure I’m capable of leading others to their goals.

I must keep myself set in the journalism industry and know what I want. No matter what I’m going to reach every goal and I’m going to be helping others along the way. Every person I encounter will either be a blessing or a lesson.

Reading over my plans, I know I will make it through everything I put my mind to. Staying grounded during my time in college will help in the long run. Every day I wake up and pray over myself and my goals because I know every day brings something new. Becoming an entertainment journalist is more than working long hours, and meeting my favorite celebrities, it is doing something I love and wouldn’t trade for the world.
