( ENSPIRE She Did That ) Issa Rae Snags Two More Shows With HBO

Actress, director, and producer Issa Rae has flourished again in the entertainment world. Rae, best known for being the creator of “Awkward Black Girl” a Youtube web series, will be the executive producer of two new HBO shows. The Golden Globe-nominated celeb has always been vocal about her “blackness” and the difficulties she faced as a young girl not being able to fit in with other black kids.
The first show titled “Him or Her” will be centered around an African American bisexual man and written by Travon Free. The upcoming comedy will show the difficulties and triumphs that the character faces in the dating world. The second show called “Sweet Life” will be a drama series on Black teenagers living in Beverly Hills. Rae will be running both of these projects while working on the 3rd season of her show “Insecure” on HBO.

The success of “Awkward Black Girl” and “Insecure” has made Rae show many Black women that we’re not all that different and we can all thrive to success. She’s an inspiration to a lot of young women and still continues to do so. Not many are accomplishing what Rae is doing, she has used her talent and platform to express issues that African American males or females might face in the social world.
